With all these birthdays we've had on the board lately, it's made me start to wonder. How does it feel to you to be getting older? Good, bad, mixed? Please share your thoughts and feelings, maybe we can all learn something from each other.

It feels great!!

Having just found out Monday that I am now cancer free, it feels fanfornicatingtastic!! There is not a doubt that come the 15th of next month I will be able to celebrate my 60th birthday.

If I may toss in a plug, I will be participating in the Relay for Life here in my home town. Should anyone feel so moved, I would be ever so grateful for a contribution of any size. You can do that here: http://www.acsevents.org/faf/r.asp?t=4&i=125046&u=125046-125849261&e=568488455

I thank you for your support.

How does it feel?

Chronology is truly a state of mind. Hugh Hefner is freaking 80 for God's sake. As for state of mind: You accept what you have a little more readily as you age -- but the real upside is knowing that your limits are well beyond what you thought they were when you were younger. The accumulation of knowledge you've gained and its application is another big plus. Like -- did you know (and I suspect you did Ms. {{{{{PINK}}}}} that there's a spot on the inside of a woman's thigh (yes both of them) that when rubbed delicately and lightly right after her orgasm -- the orgasm is extended at a lower level for an amazingly long time. I don't believe it is self-application possible -- but I do know that if your fingertips are trained enough you can actually feel a texture difference in that exact spot. It's luscious and a wonderful way to cap off an "event" IMHO. Anyway -- that kinda knowledge. There's more but thought I'd give this thread a little post. :D :D AND {{{{PINK}}}} :p

MMMM -- all too much of a shame. It's something I learned -- that value that comes along with experience and time.

You have to have it checked out. I've not found too many who do know about it but it does work -- every time.
:D

I tend not to worry about it much. I feel pretty good most of the time and since I don't look my age . . . I figure why act my age ! :D

I turned 29 this past Feb. and I can tell I'm not 18 anymore. lol

I am however looking forward to turning 30. My youngest will start school and I'll be able to do a lot of things that I've been putting off until I could get all three girls into school. :)

I think the key to aging well/gracefully is looking ahead and finding things or milestones that you can look forward to instead of worrying about what you are losing. You're only as old as you feel anyway....right? ;) :D

Like I pointed out to Helli,

Age does have some advantages.

A person who is say 30 doesn't have the same opportunities someone 50 has...

I can find someone 30 years younger and it is both legal and really cool...

You can't do that at 30! ;)

Very True ;) :D

That's wondermous news! I'm sooo harppy for ya *huggles*

Getting older is a part of life. I'll be 58 soon and it's hard for me to believe that I'm that old! Where did the years go? The only regret is that the mind is willing but the body is in need of a few replacement parts.

i think the older i get the better i handle my birthdays now.

I love getting older, each new day brings more experience and occasionally a little more wisdom through which to view the world. Youth is a seriously over-valued commodity in today's age I swear it.
