Day 8: A song that’s acoustic

Bruce Cockburn - Wondering Where The Lions Are

A friend got me listening to this..really like this song

I used this title as a line in a story, no idea why, i was just wondering what the character would be wondering and this song popped in my head!

Day 8: A song that’s acoustic

Mathias Blad was a fairly famous Swedish opera singer, who grew tired of the genre and on a whim started a little side project; symphonic power metal band Falconer. In the beginning it was just a studio band, they had no plans on performing live, but as they took the European metal world by storm that quickly changed.

And thank fuck they did.
Mathias has one of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard.
It's crystalline.

Falconer - Mindtraveller

Day 8: A song that's acoustic
A classic of the 1920's dirty blues genre.
Lucille Bogan - "Shave 'Em Dry"
This song has come up a lot. I believe @Tigobitties98 mentioned that she was given the lyrics right as they started recording so you can hear her reacting to the words as she is singing them for the first time. 😆 Love it. Good choice. ❤️

Day 7: A song that's 5+ minutes long

I spent most of the day wrestling with what to choose for this prompt. Most of what rattled in my head were songs of 9+ mins or much longer. But somewhere in my thought process, I became more interested in genre and one that I love and I've barely used, so....it's over 5 mins but not over 6.

Day 8: A song that's acoustic

Unlike yesterday, today I knew the song I wanted the second I saw the prompt. It is magical and yet it is the saddest song I know. I couldn't find the acoustic version that I wanted to post, so I am going to use an Eddie Vedder tribute instead.

If you want to know more about the song or the man that wrote it, I linked an article that I think captures it well.

This is a case where I wish I could have multiple options for like. Or multiple "loves." Warren Zevon is one of my favorite songwriters, and Eddie does such a wonderful version on this. Thank you.

Edit to add: and I am kind of tearing up, and I blame you.
