I got coerced into singing karaoke to this song by two crew members on a river cruise on the Murray Princess. They left me to it. It was the most embarrassing night of my life..especially as Mr Shady took a video of me singing. He still has it

But... i always joke that this is the song... mainly as i doubt it is available anywhere to sing... but also, despite no one being able to match Mark Eitzel for singing this, i'd just love to scream out the chorus. Also, it's a fucking great song "all i have to offer you is archaeology at christmas" I MEAN, PEOPLE!!! "and we'll twist the light so that it always shine down on us."... rest assured, I am singing this as i type. be thankful you're not my neighbour.

I really don't like to sing in public. I can do it on stage, because I am part of a chorus or, I can hide behind a character. And I have sang with a couple of bands, but that was background or as a joke, and I am behind drums or the like most times. But solo, on a stage? It takes a lot. Once was therapy. The other times were aided by alcohol. Actually, all of them were.

I spent some time working in Tokyo, about four months total, helping a friend close up her household and business. Same planet, different world. And there are sometimes in business there where it is required to get screaming drunk with your associates, and, well, karaoke is a Japanese word. Once, or twice, I tackled this song. (If you want to hear how rough that tackle was, there is a voca of me doing so on Lit. Be afraid.)

I’ve only sang karaoke one time. I was extremely drunk. So you pick a song everyone will sing along to and you can strut to. I was a riot when I was drunk.
