Day 14: A song that uses an unconventional instrument

A hot little bit of sweaty Southern gothic. Delta Rae uses both a heavy chain as well as sticks on a metal garbage can as the primary instrument, along with other percussive touches. There are a couple of different videos for this, including the official one, which adds the audio from four members of the Historically Black fraternity Phi Beta Sigma's stepping team. It is worth watching. But I like this live version for its rawness as well as Conan's reaction.

I know a banjo isn't really "unconventional" but I had stumbled onto this song years ago and what better day to share it. It's so cute and pleasant.

My Gay Banjo - Limp Wrists and a Steady Hand

Day 14: A song that uses an unconventional instrument

A tribute to tbe Adams Family and Lerch's harpsichord.
I think this song is sooo fucking cool, I hope you listen and you like.

Never heard this before.....this is great...love it!

This song hasn't aged well, but that aside; Rolf Harris invented the use of the wobble board in his music and it's so quintessentially Australian 🦘

Hi everyone! With summer about, I've been neglecting this thread, (and PM's, and Shenanigans...) sorry about that!

Summers in Sweden are short, sweet, and wonderful. They're constantly shifting between sun and rain, between sweltering heat and freezing cold, between fire and ice. Have to catch the rays while they're out and about.

On that note; here's some Italian mandolin- and pan flute metal for all you wonderful litsters!

Rhapsody - Danza di Fuoco e Giaccho (A dance of fire and ice)

I liked this a lot more than I expected. Off topic, but my crush on Conan shows no signs of ever going away 😂

Mandolin and pan flute?! Hell yeah 😍
It's a fairly hot day here so I'll pass on the fuoco, bring on the ghiaccio 🥵

Day 15 :A song you like that's a Cover

Song To The Siren - This Mortal Coil
When a song takes over from the original... Elizabeth Fraser's vocals are THE version of this song now, her wrong words now form the song. It's hard to think this isn't the original, it just deems so "right"
"swim to me, let me enfold you"
Stunning
