🎵 Monthly Song Challenge 🎵

Happy July! 💜
Yaaaayy! Welcome back! I didn't realize how much I'd miss your personal prompts until they were gone. 💘💘
Day 1: A song for a morning walk

Some times you just want to take a moment to yourself. Days are filled with social interactions, of musts and have to's, of adulting and problems and things and stuff and... ugh.

No, some times you just want to walk around by yourself. Please, leave me alone. No, nothing's wrong. I just need... a moment.

Ramones - I don't wanna walk around with you

Not really a song but a mantra. Helps clear my head. Perfect for a morning walk. I need to do it more often.

I'm sorry, this made me bark out a HAH! The mantra is Om Tare Tuttare Ture. This sounds a lot like Om Tar Du Tuttar, which would be (grammatically fked) Swedish for "if you're grabbing boobies, Ture". Ture is an old swedish male name.

It's a beautiful chant though. But still. Hah 😅

Day 1: A song for a morning walk

“Bask in our cosmic insignificance
Soak up this blip we're livin' in
'Cause nothing matters anyway
Isn't that great?”

A nice little morning reminder that in the grand scheme of things, none of this shit matters.

Ian McConnell - Ep. 4: Important

Wow! He's great! Very clever lyricist. He's got a Bo Burnham vibe.
That's what I love about this challenge, is discovering new artists.
If there's a category for catchy upbeat songs that are actually sad, I'm putting this out there first:

I didn't see telepathically jumping ahead as being against the rules. So, I think I'm good. 😆

You just wanted to be the first one spanked upon my return, didn’t you?

Day 1
They Might Be Giants - Birdhouse In Your Soul

Back when I had the early shift this was always up first on my brilliant little mp3 player when I would head off to work. Really woke me up and got me to pick up the pace.
This is one of my favorite songs. I used to listen to They Might Be Giants all the time! Thanks for the reminder.
