Day 9
The Sundays - Summertime

Romantic Piscean seeks angel in disguise

Super cool song choice!
The Sundays have always felt like a hidden gem in my CD collection. I don't really 'know' them, per se... in terms of knowing much about them.
Back when I was in high school, in the mid-90s(ish)... I obtained an album of "rarities" by various artists. The Sundays contributed the last song...
And I loved it. Years later, I found what I believe is their first album at a used record store... and it is great.
I don't know why I never bothered to learn more about them. I guess the fact that I kind of stumbled on them by accident made the mystery seem fun.
It was also fun hearing your great song choice today! Perhaps it's time I finally educate myself on this cool band...

Day 9: A song that mentions a sign of the zodiac

Get It Together - Beastie Boys

Well, I'm a funky skull and I'm a scorpio
And when I get my flow I'm Dr. On-The-Go

Damn, I haven't heard this song in quite awhile!
The only Beastie Boys album not currently in my collection...
Hmmm... time to complete the set, perhaps. Great song choice!

Song For A Future Generation - B-52's
Let's meet and have a baby now! -The band their take on the Floaters, star signs galore
Yesterdays B-52s discussion sent me on a spiral down the rabbit hole. Got stuck on their best-of album, and this song just kept popping up during shuffled play. I love it! So much. It's absolutely insane. Pure art.

Day 9: A song that mentions a sign of the zodiac

I love the Chili Peppers, but I swear to god their lyrics range from utter brilliance to "hey you're too fucking stoned and I can't follow your train of thought". I'm sure they make sense to them as they're sitting down to write, but, seriously what the fuck?

Spinning knot that is on my heart
it's like a bit of light and a touch of dark
you got sneak attacked from the zodiac
but I see your fire spark

RHCP - Dark Necessities

Same here. Total hidden gem. So glad this was posted today. Off to listen to more Sundays. :)

I thought of this one after I made my post and nearly kicked myself for not posting. Glad somebody did. La La La La la
