Legend has it that the Rolling Stones heard this song and shortly thereafter penned “Satisfaction.” I’ve also heard it the other way around, that these guys copied the stones. (This song came out before satisfaction so who the fuck knows...)

Regardless, this married together two of my favorite genres: garage rock and Northern Soul. I don’t think it really qualifies as soul music, yet it was one of the top Northern Soul songs.

I think a lot of litsters could do some
