***Decades Week***
For those that remember, we are going back to the contest days with a grand prize for the winner. While I can't compete with MLAS's pictorial splendor, I can offer a key to the kingdom.
This week 1 pt each for a song with any of the following words (exception: posting the 12 days of Christmas won't count for the challenge)
Each of the following words are worth 1 point:
Partridge, pear, tree, turtle, dove, French, hen, birds, gold, ring, geese, swans, maids, ladies, dancing, lords, leaping, piper, drummer, drums

Find a song with all 20 words (other than the 12 days of Christmas) and it's worth 20 pts. Please post your total for each day. Scoring will be on your honor. Cheaters will be disqualified. Whistle blowers are encouraged
The person with the highest total will get to pick the prompts for 1 week next month. Everyone with a score of 7 or higher gets a song pass.

Making up my own theme. I just don’t know lyrics and I’m too busy to look it up.

My theme is the lower east side of Manhattan.

What better way to start it out than this musical freak show, The Fugs. This is totally psychotic! in a good way.

Although the members were from all over the place, they were all countercultural lower East siders.

Theme: NYC. Inspired by seeing Jesse Malin Saturday night who was a denizen of the lower east side scene with his bands Heart Attack and D-Generation.

I don’t think any of the members of the dolls were from the lower side, but they played all the lower Eastside joints: MAx’s, Chrystie Street and the Victory Theater. There are best known for playing the Mercer arts Center before it collapsed, killing four.

NYC was a warzone at the time. It had gone bankrupt, the government was basically not working, crime was terrible, urban decay was everywhere…

A little before my time (the movie and the song) but I’ve watched that movie 50 times.
