You're right, there is no reason to justify it. On the contrary, you reminded the readers that time is running short and that we need to read these stories now and vote. I don't want to loose the chance to read all the stories. As a reader, I do appreciate when a writer announces his/her story, posting a link so that we can easily find it.

I am truly hoping I am up to the task of writing the rest of the story without my usual writing style getting in the way (florid and prosey). Anastasia is busily having me write her side of things - while Nicolai protests her perspective in the back ground LOLOLOL>....

I did say it was probably just my own quirk that I'm put off by a contest story (a contest in which a good many of us following the boards also have entries) not just being announced but being bumped up and cheerleaded every other day. But perhaps you didn't want to know that it had this irritating effect on at least one. Cheerleading (not just announcing) doesn't really make a story any better or worse in relation to anyone else's in the contest than it was to begin with. This is part of what makes these "contests" a joke. Has nothing to do with the quality of the stories themselves, really (in fact, I think it cheapens the stories).

Enthusiasm can be infectious for some, gangrenous for others (hey, not a bad analogy, methinks). Obviously, sr considers shameless self-promotion to be off-putting, but when one's attention is drawn to the existence of a thing, and then one seeks out that thing and enjoys it (like I did, BTW), then the SSP (shameless self-promotion) was worth the effort.

Natch, I'm on the pro-side of the SSP fence, not the anti. As a newbie to Literotica, I want as many people to know about me as possible, so what better way?

BTW, I've been holding steady at 23 votes for my story for a couple of days, and don't I need 25 to at least qualify for the contest? What is this, a conspiracy, hey? Rock the vote!
