And I actually think that you may want to treat yourself to a tattoo of your OWN design when you feel like you've really got some closure on this - putting something solidly in the past is a moment to feel some satisfaction in sometimes.

I don't post very often, but I thought -this- was really well worth it. Getting a 'mark' because of a D/s relationship can be very bittersweet and romantic, with a ton of emotions tied up in that ink. I've been given permission to get a tatoo (my very first one, ever!) of His choosing, which will be also applied to a large tatoo He'll be getting on his back.

While in a good, healthy, strong D/s relationship, getting 'marked' or 'branded' in some way can inspire a new level of intimacy and passion unlike anything you've experienced before. However, getting one for a relationship that's no longer there isn't a good idea. I'm very glad you've decided against it!

I wish you all the best of luck meeting your new girlfriend, and safe travels. The beginning is always the most exciting, isn't it? I'm so happy for you!
