A Sky Colored Cock

Physical paper and pencil, photo taken, then used You Doodle app’s tools to finish.
Copied it freehand from a “How to Draw Humans” book!
I've just reread "Drawing From the Right Side of the Brain", and there's a chunk in that describing how to find your dominate eye, and then how you can identify it in portraits and self portraits, and obviously with people.

Identifying someone's dominate eye makes it easier to talk to them - you look at that eye. You can also spot someone who can't get a landing on you - their eyes are always scanning back and forth, trying to decide which eye to look at. It's mostly subconscious, they don't know they're doing it.

There was also a mention, when photography became well established in the nineteenth century, of artist's drawing intimate tiny "portraits" of a single eye. Llehlla's drawing reminded me of those little portraits. Drawing one eye is obviously easier than drawing two, and drawing the dominant eye is easier again - that eye is always more alert, awake.

Unlike left-handedness, which is about a 10/90 split, dominant "eyedness" is more 30 left/70 right. Keep in mind, though, this observation
You don’t use only one side of your brain at a time. The two sides function differently, but they work together and complement each other.

For example, the left brain has traditionally been associated with handling mathematical equations. However, a 2022 study suggests that the right hemisphere helps with:

spatial awareness during complicated calculations
understanding numbers that contain zeros
representing numbers nonverbally

Similarly, people credit the left brain with language processing. However, the authors of a 2020 review found that the right brain plays a key role in understanding context and non-literal language, such as metaphors and irony. They also suggest that the right brain’s spatial awareness helps us understand and visualize language.

General personality traits, individual preferences, or learning styles don’t translate into the notion that you’re left-brained or right-brained.

Thank you for this information! This kind of thing fascinates me, @ElectricBlue

@ElectricBlue …my left eye is dominant.

Llehlla has drawn all her life, but other than some live model figure drawing and painting in college, she has not put time and effort into learning how to accurately render the human form. She tends towards “cartooning,” and not even professional-looking cartooning. She has actively avoided drawing things she finds difficult (what does that tell you about her nature? Lazy? Afraid to fail? Being a slacker? Prioritizing other matters over drawing a realistic looking eye?) such as facial features, hands and feet!
She decided to put this skill higher up on her list of priorities now that she can, and now that she creates erotic images for the public!

Better than what I can do. My human drawings are stick figures🤪. I took 4 yrs of drafting in high school and I love drawing mechanical things on paper. Sharp crisp lines, Its very gratifying. I learned to letter very neatly although my spelling still sucks. But the human figure is challenging. In some respect I wish I could generate my own porn images or cartoons. I always liked the cartoons in hustler and other dirty publications. Cut yourself some slack @Llehlla , we still enjoy your artwork. ❤️
