I would love to do voice work. The idea fascinates me.

A friend of mine did a lot of Foley work when she was starting in the biz. (We all started by doing other things, I was an extra. You may recall my brilliant rendition of the angry village woman on Highlander, "You're a fool Macleod (sp?)! Coward!").

Anyway, she said she had a hoot doing that job. When there was a crowd scene and there were several voice actors doing the background "chatter", they used to do sex scenes. Once all the voices are blended, it comes out as a low murmur so no one can hear it but it's there. Subliminal. So the next time you get randy while watching an episode of Stargate, you'll know why.

I'm tired of Bruce Buffer's voice. He needs to go away.

I'm trying to think of other voices I like. Hm, I'll get back on that one.

I've read that sort of thing somewhere. It seems like it's not easy to get into. I had a good conversation with a guy that does a lot of it around here, but it was ALL for CBN. While the type of work sounds cool, and is right up my vocal alley, I really can't conceive of Doing work like that for the Christian Broadcasting Network, especially because he was doing Christian themed cartoons at the time. My head would asplode from sheer weight of irony.

Very true. Buffer is booorrriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing. And his voice is going downhill, or had the last couple of times I saw him announce.
