And now for something completely different - musing on the Literotica Login page.

I sit and wonder who they are, or what their stories are.

I wonder about their real lives.

I wonder where they are and whether they're happy.
In what way are they any different from us? They go online, on a porn website, to show off their particular talents. The main difference, I guess, is that they aren't content to accept their payment in the form of stars.

Getting slightly more serious; the nature of porn in general is to sexually objectify those involved in it.

So it can be difficult to remember sometimes that they're real people too, with real lives and stories.

Yeah, I don't really like porn for that reason. The eroticism to me is the connection. Porn---it's even less than the eroticism of getting hammered and taking some barfly home for a sloppy quicky---but even muted drunk sex comes with the satisfaction of conquest, whereas porn, you just type some words into your browser, and there's all of rule 34 on display.

I think that's why I gravitate to written smut. To me, good erotica is about the characterizations, not about the act of sex itself. Action beats don't do it for me.

Hey, at least the original poster of this thread isn’t a fanfic writer like me… yet, as far as I know. And at least those women in the cams aren’t blocking their stories from ratings to avoid review bombing and dancing anyway, doing what they do. At least they’re getting feedback, making money, right? Right?

Just an alternate perspective. Think about it. ;)

On a whim I went to see if any of my old fanfiction is still out there. It isn't, not even on the waybackmachine. I'm both relieved and saddened. Younger me was so sweet and hopeless.

I don't know anything about that world, but I know for certainty that those girls will be every bit as obsessed with categories, times of days, thumbnails, styles of dress, whether to get tattoos etc as we are about star ratings. I'm sure somewhere out there there's a forum with topics like "Is 29 too soon to mark myself as mature?", Do red or blondes get more views? - quickly please about to have my hair dyed.", "Romanian collegue pretending to be Italian - shaming or just good business?"

And everyone of those has people going "Please! This topic again. Can we discuss the actual stripping, people?"

As for previous comments about the girls/adult actresses and the issues they face, I am a CPA IRL, and have two clients with OF accounts. One just plays with it and makes decent bucks. The other is making serious buck. Her attorney, her financial advisor and I have set her up with a SubChapter S corporation, put her on payroll, maximizing her Social Security earnings, maximizing her elective deferrals into her 401(K), along with the company match, along with an §125 plan and full medical coverage. She gets a a large W-2 from a vanilla sounding corporation, so no issues from lenders or otherwise. We have protected her as best we can, and set her up for when she transitions out of adult work. Of course, she is the exception.
That's really awesome.

Why is a tyranosaurus always so angry?

It's arms are so short it can't masturbate.
