any girls into nerds? ;)

True story

Do the rest of you have interesting nerd encounter stories?

I once made a girl at a bar (in the Pacific North West) buy me a drink because she bet that I couldn't name all fifty American states in alphabetical order.

I did. I'm Norwegian.

I was too shy back then to ask for more. Fail.

Any other ladies ever find themselves humored but frustrated at how much coaxing some nerd boys seem to need at first? I find it really cute though.

"Sweetie, I can see that you're hard right through your pants and I am intentionally hugging you extra tight to rub my breasts against you.... DO SOMETHING." :p

Where I live, there is a Geeks Meetup group. I went to "board game" night as my first outing with them, hoping to make some new friends. Everyone there was very friendly and easy to talk with. People ran the gamut from being normal/slightly dorky and liking a certain something to full out nerd. I even met a really hot girl there who I dated for 8 months. To think, our love of Transformers helped bring us together. She is super kinky, too. It looks like we're going to be friends. Even so, that's awesome.

Haha, omg yes!

Although, I kinda always took advantage of that. I used to wear these incredibly short skirts to our game nights and purposely bend over to move a piece on the table. Or I would say words being overly obvious, just because it was fun to tease.

Most definitely nerds are HOT. This gave me a great memory flashback. I have had many a crush on the "nerds" in college. 5th floor of my dorm was all various engineer degrees, and they were all so yummy! And pretty sweet kissers too!!! ;)

Another vote for geeks. I almost exclusively date them. My first real bf was a jock. Ever since, nerds all the way.
And yes, I play table top rpgs...enough to be a snob about it. Have you guys seen that 'roll a d6' video on youtube? Awesome

Kari Byron

I'd LOVE to get naughty with Kari Byron, the sexy brainy gal on Mythbusters. Mmmm!

Nerds and geeks have always done it for me, there's something about men who are intelligent. I can't get enough of them just talking about anything, even if I don't really get it :p

Definitely going to comic con Toronto in March 2012 to get me some nerds and geeks! :)
I'm already so excited.

Gorgeous girl... you should really consider Chicago. :p Damn.

Hell yes, I love nerds.
Smart, sexy in a quiet way. So very passionate about everything.
What's not to like!

I adore nerds - all kinds, but especially maths / science nerds. I married a gaming nerd. My college boyfriend was a math / science nerd.
When (any gender, really) is super knowldgeable and passionate about a subject, I really enjoy listening to them.

Totally agree.:)

Nerds are awesome!
I've dated several and some people consider me one myself. Anyone I can sit down with and talk about history with scores some points in my book. If you can back up that history with totally obtuse and weird cultural facts you have it made. As a Sociocultural Anthropologist, I eat that stuff up. :D

Geeks and nerds are fantastic. It's nice to be able to talk to a man who understands what the hell I'm saying! Plus, they always seem willing to research and try anything....

As a Geek/nerd, I love me some nerdy and geeky men. I have a shirt of Hello Kitty with glasses that says "talk nerdy to me".

They don't have to be nerds/geeks of the stereotypical way either. If a guy totally fangirls over something...(generally something other than sports) I just find them so freaking cute! ^_^ I especially love when they get seriously into a game of Vampire/Werewolf, D&D, Rifts...even Magic. Hehehe, when their hair gets all messy and OMG...the geek shirts! ^_^

I don't mind them talking to me about computer things, uber nerdy thing, but as long as they don't get frustrated that...I may not know as much as them, if anything...Thankfully, having two exes who were computer geeks... :D

Faux Geeks or Nerds....not hot.

Nerd is not just a kink-- it's a requirement.

Give me that
bow-tie wearing
Sartre reading
Brahms listening
Tolstoy loving
epicurist by day
hedonist by night
kind of man.

I remember some good times with my ex,
discussing translations of Lorca and Borges, religion, aesthetic philosophy and art, etc
which would transition into heated debate
which would become wrestling
which would become naked wrestling
which would become the best oral sex of my life.

Nothing like a man who plays Chopin while going down on you.

Fuck what you know;
tall, dark, and handsome is for suckers.
Now, where's mister
bespectacled , broody, and brainy?

+1, my dear.

wow!

So many awesome women chiming in! I PM a reasonable number of women to coax them into talking to me, but its probably like high school all over again where they go for the Lit jocks (I've now got a funny picture in my head to go with that description).

The only difference is that now, being erudite, college educated instills enough confidence to allow me to at least pretend to be somewhat cocky when approaching women.

I now realize that I've been targeting the wrong set of women to PM to subsequently get to speak to.

Ladies, I'm not sure how open you are to PMs, but should you be keen on indulging in conversation with a man of pop culture and class, you get immense respect even if you make the first move ;)
