Anyone from the UK?

I forgot how easy it is to dehydrate... needed a saline IV by 1pm today. I'm such a dumb ass and forget to drink because I never feel thirsty
So you had to go on a drip? You need to look after yourself, there'll be plenty of drink to go splosh in if you're not careful so wear your life jacket, and line on.

Do you trapeze, or have spinnaker boom?

Oh shit - there's me exaggerating again and expecting people to cotton on! Nah - I was just be a drama queen with the IV thing.
The various wind guru predictions are contradictory. I think the diesel sail may be needed. We'll pole out the genoa if we can.

Sounds like fun. Enjoy yourselves. 😘

Don't do anything I wouldn't do. Actually, you better had, otherwise you'd have no fun together! 🤣

This reminds me of an old band; Caravan; they had some very creative album titles:
"Frigging in the rigging" and "Cunning stunts" :)

So the forecast is for calm weather then?

@stickygirl I went out once with my mate's dad from Padstow in Cornwall In a 2 man boat in lovely weather to go around the island and back. The weather changed and so we tried to go back.
We were in a swell for a time tacking. We only know we were moving cos I was sick and it was going away from us.
Happy Days

@Yesok1 it wasn't funny at the time my first trip out in a sailing boat into the sea not the estuary and I was only 15-16

No, but I love the fact you gave it a go and have an experience of sailing that you remember.
I'm definiteley a landlubber wimp. Once went on a small, local boat to visit Staffa in the Hebrides; the famous Fingals Cave. I swear the boat was vertical in the waves at one point. I think I'm correct saying its the island/cave where the horcrux scene is set in the Potter films

Not sure I know what that scene is, but sounds incredibly scary! Your experience, that is.

Yeah... we have a filling low pressure and a flaccid jetstream so everything is running slow. I'm hoping we may get an onshore breeze that will give us something useful. Not keen on diesel :(

What about those stinging jellyfish too! Not to mention the raw sewage from our wonderful water companies.

I take Sturgeon these days. I never used to bother with seasick pills but had a bad experience sailing N Wales to Scotland and vomited for about six hours. Once we finally got to a harbour I was so hungry!!

Didn't realise we'd be out there for 6-8 hours, like I said first time at sea for me

P.S. his dad was quiet impressed with my attitude

I was stung on the face by a jellyfish when I was a kid. We were in Spain. I was in absolute agony and this lifeguard took me and my dad up to the medical hut where he finally said to my dad... "I piss on your boy, okay?"

Needless to say, my dad didn't think it was okay. 🤣

Well actually... that scene with Dumbledore was borrowed from the cliffs of Moher, Ireland... but I had to google it ;)
