Anyone from the UK?

yes... then i look at them and wonder why i bother!

I think photos should be seen, but maybe not mine! I was a bit distracted today, plus it was just too windy to get any decent shots

you ok? been at sea?
I'm fine. I'm a bit ....what's the word ? Wistful
I want to go listen to the sea. She doesn't. So I'm not. I'll need to check out your stories.
In a (very) weird way, I miss the experience given of covid lockdown. The social isolation fuelled my ability to write. Right now I'm stuck and it's so frustrating.

You're correct - the sea has a strange effect of us: both peaceful and sad. We were at an achorage recently and had the sniff of the headspace I need. I have a log-jammed story that needs uncorking. I may take a few days off somewhere to stare at the horizon.

it is weird with writing... i am almost finished a story and yet... it's almost as if when i finish, then the thrill has gone. I have three still waiting to publish and i am scared that when they go, there will be nothing left.

During lockdown I was prolific in writing, granted over half of them were utter rubbish. It all felt peaceful.

I get that! Your chickens ready to leave the basket?
I love the headspace afforded by writing and find it totally consuming, like a dream. All you have to do is write it down. It's a magical place.

it is like birds flying the nest!

this latest story... the end paragraph is written... they are nearing it, but... i keep delaying them!

this could be why two of my stories are over 20 pages long!

Wow! That's book length. (y)
My log-jam could/should be a small book. Sooo frustrating..

yes, put them both in novels/novellas - one managed to get the red H! the other got 1 bombed... which is funny, reading 20+ pages and thinking "nah, sorry"

this latest one is around 35,000 words and still going!
