Jaffa cake is a cake because it's got cake in its namethat's why it's a Jaffa Cake and not a biscuit - biscuits go soggy, cakes go hard when stale.
if you just shove a whole one in your mouth you don't really notice they're stale. repeat until the pack has gone.
