If you have very good communication skills then it makes a lot of sense that you react this way. When interacting with people we all have a tendency to pull up shared past experiences that allow us to better understand the people we are around. If you have both dominant and submissive sides of yourself you could just be reacting naturally in order to facilitate better communication and make the interaction more comfortable.

Wow...does this make sense! Dynamics between us (be that individuals or systems) are the same...just spoken of in different "languages"....or jargon.

Having practiced as a psychotherapist for many years, I'd say you hit the nail on the head quite well...this makes much sense.

Now to alter that "instinct" so I can stretch to a new experience...that is my quest!!!! Saying that just made me "nervous" this morning...hee hee...who can grasp a human, huh?
