Aw Crop!

Ahhhh ... The moral of this cautionary tale....

I knew someone who bought on the basis of price...closely followed by "cute"..
It worked reasonably well....Once..
The second time, it {it was "braided leather"} unwound about three strokes in... And exposed a VERY sharp wire core....
Fortunately, it didn't get exposed on a backswing... And the FemTop in question noticed it immediately..

*shrug*
It's a false economy...
I don't mind spending a few extra dollars up front....So I don't have to KEEP spending money to replace the "affordable" products.

I don't buy on the basis of price and then cute. The cute caught my eye, and then the price grabbed my attention. It is a well made piece, and got put to the test today. I just don't believe in passing up something because it is cute or because it is at a good price. I have paid good money for quailty products, but then I have also gotten quality products at very low prices. A high price does not mean quality, just as a low price does not mean shotty work. But if I can get a good piece for a cheaper price, why pay more?

My favorite thing....my crop. I bought mine at a tack store. Sexy and black. I went to my local tack shop to compare prices. They were much cheaper and you can try them out to fit your hand. They have many sizes with different grips, so you can choose what fits you best. I also fell in love with a 5 foot whip that had to come home with me also. (Just the sound of that is dangerous) I had a huge amount of fun buying it as I went through them and smacked the boy on the ass with different ones until I found the one I liked. The lady at the counter just smiled a funny smile when I made my purchases. I also went back later and bought my quirt. If you are on the eastside of the state and want a few places to check out just let me know. I don't think I payed more than $40.00 for all three of them, and years later they still work wonderfully.

I'm on the Eastside on occasion - Tri Cities, Moses Lake, Yakima and Ellensburg mostly, but sometimes elsewhere, too. I didn't think of looking when I'm over there, but I will now, especially if you have suggestions! :D
