This picture in particular struck me because it captures the moment before she asks "Do you think he really loves her?"

The significance of the question is important to recognize. She may very well be asking for an opinion, but her interpretation of the answer is another matter altogether. Her emotions are thick and a vein of envy runs through them. It is her desire to be loved and cherished.

The answer to her question must be skillfully constructed. Over emphasizing the readers love for his listener would expose her weakness. Its understatement, an opportunity lost.

He takes a moment to reflect on the story, her question and this moment. Turning towards her, he runs his fingers across her hair. Looking into her eyes he simply say, "Yes my love, I believe he truly loves her."
