There's nothing wrong with being kinky or having a fetish outside of the commitment to BDSM.
The only reason kink/fetish is synonymous with BDSM is because it has been pushed into our (BDSMers) corner of the sexual world.
If it doesn't fit in with the gays or the straights or the monogamous ... ya must be a weirdo... ya know who else is weird... those cooky BDSMers.
Eddie Izzard said it best in his Dressed to Kill standup.
Unfortunately BDSMers looking for a partner, finds a kinky person, and hopes to tug them into the BDSM dark side. But it never happens. Either ya have it, or ya don't. Born with it, or nope just a "poser". I often have to talk others' relationships off the ledge because a BDSMer has a Vanilla Conversion Project (VCP).
VCP's are plentiful - but never work.
Kink on peeps! Just be honest when you bump into a BDSMer.
You'll have everything they're looking for - but not the commitment or the mental game that goes along with BDSM.
Although, in the eyes of the majority, we're all weird. At least it isn't considered a mental illness anymore.
