BDSM ideas for serial killing?

You're right. Even if the makeup of the acronym doesn't imply consent, BDSM is contemporary and its use is well defined.

That was a knowledgeable, concise response and you didn't attack me. Thanks.

I was going to remove my comment earlier because after re-reading it I realized it was drivel but I decided to keep it up to see what kind of response I got.

Hey everyone :) I'm currently working on a novel that tells the story of a serial killer through their own perspective; their average life, their introduction to murder and the moral and psychological battle they face when indulging in these practices.

The story contains a lot of BDSM as the killer likes to 'play' with their victims before disposing of them. However, as twisted as I am, I am struggling to think of many ideas for the rape/murder/torture of victims.

The killer is organized, intelligent, nonsocial and hedonistic. They are motivated by power, sexual desires and the thrill of causing other people physical, emotional and psychological pain.

On a further note, they prefer to use knives in their killings, as they have a fetish for blood. They also force the victim to do things such as stab and attack them. I won't go into the reasons why. ;)

I know it sounds incredibly macabre and perverse, but are there any users here who might know where I'm coming from, or have any ideas?

Thanks for reading :D

Personally books that include BDSM only as part of a killer piss me off. It's a stereotype of the lifestyle that is all too pervasive already.

If consent isn't involved, it's not BDSM IMO. I don't think you can legally agree to have someone kill you either.

Most serial killers are markedly UN-organized, thank god! This has helped cut down on my nightmares.

You might benefit from reading Mind Hunter by John Douglas a former FBI profiler who has actually worked on many serial murder cases and interviewed many serial killers.

That being said I do beat off to a snuff story I like sometimes.

Good luck.

Eh, the pairing of the M with the S implies consent to me. Unless a predatory sadist happens to get lucky, their prospective victims are unlikely to be masochists. Matching sadism with pasochism implies selection and forethought, and, as masochists, generally some sort of interchange. While it does not make a strong case for consensual behaviour, it can linguistically imply a tit for tat arrangement.

One thing that might change your approach to what you would call "BDSM" in your book is your target audience. As stated above, people who consider themselves in the BDSM lifestyle/community will call "bullshit" throughout your book if you don't stay true to activities approved by a certain amount (majority?) of those people (re: SSC, RISK, blah blah). Yeah, as mentioned above, the nillas knowing the consent factor may view it all as roleplaying and "pretend for grownups", and, nothing particularly wrong with that. But, bottom line is that killing and "accepted" BDSM are mutually exclusive.

On the other hand, if you simply wish to include sadistic non-consent elements, history and the web are full of examples of torture devices. In that case, the focus on the mental state of the killer would need to be shown as something markedly different from your typical BDSM sadist.

well if you are looking for an idea well i suggest you should watch some horor films and stuff wer you can see mass killing bondage.

What chaps my ass is the intimation that *because* I have sex a certain way, I also must know what the people who read those books want to read, I must be a CSI Lady Heather come to life, I must be able to tell you in a convincing literary sense the mechanics of rape and murder, other than, you know the ones I like. Because I have fantasies that I think MOST RED BLOODED HUMANS HAVE but won't discuss, because I'm a BDSM freak I can be the ambassador of whatever it is you need to blame someone else for.

If dude is writing this, for real, he's interested enough to figure it out himself, not jack off to whatever "the perverts" tell him and blame them for what he was thinking about anyway. Right?
I agree that the poster is highly suspect of being a troll who wants to say "See? They enable serial killers!" which is why I didn't list anything (yet).

However, it's entirely possible that he wants to write a story where a killer gets off by tying up and torturing people and, for accuracy, he decided to ask a bunch of people who tie up and "torture" people for advice. We'll probably never know.

I actually thought it was the post of the thread.

To me, the M is as negligible as the B or any other part. BDSM implies an interest in bondage, domination, discipline, sadism, AND/OR masochism.

Nah, I gotcha, and I agree.
I'm actually pretty bothered by the massive amount of "flip-flop" that happens in most non-consent stories. It's an awful lot like blaming the victim. We want to get off on rape, but then we get shy and don't want to be thought of as bad-guys so we twist the scenario around so the chick actually enjoys it.

So, to get my fix I have to put up with murder and the occasional icky torture.

hi--new in here bt you have a interesting subject and sounds like it woul be a great book to read-- there wouls be many ways to do it

book

why not a book about more then one serial killer but a family of them that travel around together

Maybe I'm dense, but I don't see the connection to BDSM here, sorry.

I'm leaning towards CM's view.
This might be one of the reasons why people associate bdsm with lawless cruelty and murder.
Or why someone always taps D/s as an alabi and excuse when they "accidentally" leave their husband tied up in the trunk on a hot day to die.

Like Paganism and Satanism. Both neither socially acceptable but two ends of a very alternative spectrum.

I encourage creative writing. I do. I simply disfavor tying a lifestyle I enjoy and believe in the goodness and soul-completeing elements of to intentional murder.

Not good PR. Propogates a negative stereotype. *shrugs*
