There's something about a hijab that renders women sexless, no matter how much skin they show anywhere else (which is the whole point of it, basically, much like Amish or Mennonite headgear). Damn shame too, considering how lovely the girl is.

I completely disagree with you. Like any other accessory, it can be damn sexy. It erases hair as a part of a woman's beauty, but it draws our attention to her eyes, her lips much more dramatically. So many hijabis have perfected the art of flirting with a mere glance, it's a beautiful thing!

For those living in the west, I think it also shows a lot of confidence, itself quite a thing of beauty! For most, it is a commitment, a grounding in what they believe, a marker of their identity. Yes, for many it is tradition, but they make it their own, there are so many different cultures and fashions for wearing a hijab, so much creativity. It is a thing to be admired...
