Hello to all of you out there. I am a bi mom whose girls don't know. Figure once they are all out to college, I can be more free. But it is hard sometimes to be true to your self and live up to family and community expectations?

I can't be the only closet bi mom out there. How do you handle it? Have a very supportive husband and have just lost touch with past long term GF. It is hard to bring new people into their lives and mine and keep everything balanced.

Hi everyone, I've posted to the more recent bi fem thread, but since this one specialized in Bi-Mom's, I'll add my two cents worth.

43 y/o bi, experienced mom, happily married with two teenage daughters (who are never happy btw )

I came out publically in 2002, when the Advocate published a short OP-Ed I'd written about lots of things I had on my mind at the time, but mostly about the state of the GLBT community and how sometimes we are not very accepting of our own. Knew about my bi-sexuality from about 19 or 20 y/o...it certainly explained all the drama with my girlfriends in HS.

My family, including my daughters (except my grandma who might not understand too well at 83) know and support my sexuality. Of course, I didn't exactly leave my hubby of 12 years and dive into a relationship with a woman at the time. I have to admit, a lot of the time I would much rather be with a woman; the softness, the emotional connection all lead me to a much more contented place. However, I love my husband with all my heart and would never leave him for another woman(or man for that matter).

We (my husband and I) had an affair with another woman for an extended period of time and that remains my only physical experience with another woman. I lust, dream, fantasize and drool over beautiful woman all the time and I'm not afraid to say that if the opportunity presented itself again, I'd be more than willing to experience the embrace of a beautiful girl in a heartbeat (and tell hubby about it)!
