is this her first or is she a good momma ? I had twin newborn fawns in the backyard yesterday and I was kinda worried about no momma , but she showed up a few minutes later , so yea adorabieness was in play big time is that a real word??

If it isn't a real word, it should be!!

This is her first for me, but she had 2-3 foals for her previous owner, who reported to be that they were all textbook and she's a great mom. So fingers crossed this little one is born safe and sound and she proves herself to be a good, capable mother!

Kool we used to have quarters and a killer dapple grey Arabian stud ..he was as flashey as they get. A perfect parade horse but just a handfull . so glad to have sold him, you prob know how they get when all they can think about is sex...as for the lil fawns no pics :rolleyes

I got my very lovely arabian stallion when he was a year and a half old and so I was fortunate enough to raise him myself. This means he is pretty well behaved, though every now and then he had discussions with his trainer before he bowed his tendon. I never have to use 'stud tools' with him (nose chains, whips, etc). He is partially voice commanded, so he listens pretty well even with mares around. He's given me gorgeous part-arab foals that have gone on to have excellent careers in english events; one is currently in the midwest cleaning up at dressage shows. But I have known several absolutely rank stallions, so I am not too surprised by your experience! I have been very lucky with my boy

I'd like a filly And after 2 days of calcium rising and the mare acting funny, it looks like it is just about time! I would be surprised if she didn't pop within the next 24 hours. Everything is pointing towards her foaling very very soon...which is why I haven't been around as much lately

She FINALLY foaled!! A cute as a pin bay colt with two little stars on his forehead. he's quite the ham already, and is also very, very friendly and people oriented. I'll add a pic of him (just the horse, and nothing dirty!).

Sorry for the absence, not only did she have the baby and keep me busy, but I've also been fighting a nasty head cold this past week. Hope everybody is doing well!
