One comment about the last two

While the rope may bear a more esthetic appearance, the cuff might present a safer approach. Gaston can explain the pressure dynamics better than i.

The upper arm is a tricky animal because nerves and arteries lay closer to the skin than in the leg as anyone that has fallen asleep on an arm while sitting can attest.
