Yeah, and like every progress, there's a core of conservatives fighting tooth, and nail to retard it. For instance, the WM/BW coupling, the black male community is getting overrun by Hoteps with flat-Earth mythology to shame sisters into preserving racial purity.
Sound familiar? I know an Anglothep. (Or Ptolomies. No official term for them yet, I've only talked to 1) who's racist, has an "I'm not racist" black wife, and a pile of mixed kids, but basically keeps her like a house slave. He's also under the delusion that "Egypt wasn't black." Direct quote, he seems to think they wore so much gold, because they're golden skinned, or at least the Pharoahs were, as part of their heritage originating from the Gods. (Osiris, and Horus, specifically.)
Also, his Egyptology is predictably fucked. He gets upper, and lower Egypt switched around, because he still got the Eurocentric (North is "Up") orientation, and no ammount of evidence will dissuade him from thinking that Upper referred to Up-stream. So, he settled for marrying into African culture.
That kinda bullshit, just for example. Some of the worst racists are "I'm not racist" racists.
