All the "where to hide the floggers" advice is wonderful and important, but I remember having a hard time even coming up [from motherhood] for air until mine were at least 18 months old.

I'm not at all submissive when it comes to my kids, never have been. It's one thing to acknowledge that I'm fucked up and have odd wants and desires - I won't allow it to be passed on to my tykes.

Things to keep in mind
A) Children are innately devious creatures not to be trusted an inch!
B) They're like bloodhounds, they can pick up on things a mile away and extremely perceptive, especially when you think they aren't paying attention.
C) The have the most REMARKABLE talent to say things at the absolute worst moment. Case and point, two scene people have a 7 year old daughter well she was misbehaving at a grocery store and the mother told her that if she didn't behave their would be consequences. The girl threw a fit and started crying about how she didn't want mommy to spank her like she spanks daddy.

We didn't get into spanking and flogging until the kids were much older. Now the problem isn't waking the baby so much as, "Shit, he's still awake!" We enjoyed it when our oldest went off to college, as our youngest one goes to sleep pretty early. However, the older one has boomeranged and often has friends over until late.

At least they're at the age where if they discovered mom tied up and dad having fun with the crop, they'd be so horrified that ptsd would probably prevent them remembering it come morning.

That reminds me of the story about the little girl misbehaving at the bank. Her mom grabbed her and told her she better knock it off, or she was going to get her bottom paddled. The little girl looked her mom in the eye and said 'you better leave me alone or I'm going to tell grandma I saw you kissing daddy's penis last night.'



The mom picked her up and left the bank, and as the doors of the bank were closing could still hear the people in the bank laughing.
