Boudoir photos

Always have to start somewhere, and well done for being the first... I nearly took up photography professionally in my mid twenties, did a few portfolios for ladies who went on to be quite successful, a few weddings for friends etc... lost all my negatives (yep, old style photography) when moving house a few years later, put me off doing it! Ohhh hummm.

Yea except he was a coworker so once word got out all my other coworkers got to see nude pics of me:eek::

I was born when the General from Dennison Texas sat in the Oval Office (1953-61) and made frequent business trips to St.Louis in the 80s. 1985 or so I was 25 or so and had several 'boudoir' pictures taken there. 35ish years later I treasure them. So while I appreciate your kind offer, I must decline as I fear no human photographer can make 60ish year old me look better than the pics I have of 25ish year old me.

Definitely do it for yourself and let us know how the experience went.

Depending on the photographer, if the person's a student (you could get the photos for around 75), but if the person is a professional, depending on the area you live in it could run anywhere from 150 to 400 or more. But you'll have a great pampering experience.

You could also do it yourself by going crazy with an iphone or ordering a lighting studio on line to add to the at home glamour --

I was just thinking about something like this for myself and apparently it is not weird? Such a relief! 😄
I constantly take selfies in the shower and when I am getting un/dressed and such, I was thinking about what it would be like to have a couple of pictures(or video) of myself stripping...


I probably wouldn't show anyone...

It's not weird at all. It's very common and very normal.

It's normal to want to be attractive and be thought of as attractive. A good photographer knows how to pose and present and capture a person in their most attractive light. I've had girlfriends who've had professional boudoir photos taken of themselves, and I've taken photos of partners in that style as well. It's a great experience. Highly recommended.
 
I did it for my wife's birthday last year. The photographer was a woman. I was not invited to the photo shoot. The pictures turned out great anyway.

The photographer had a professional makeup artist give my wife a totally new look. Hair, makeup, the works.

We had a lot of fun browsing lingerie catalogs online (word of warning, the damn things will follow your browser for months and pop up at the worst possible moments) and buying a large assortment of interesting nightgowns and stuff. We each found out a lot about each other's taste in trashy lingerie.

If it is done right, you will see way more skin on the beach, but that was not what I was going for, I wanted her to have an afternoon of pampering and feeling sexy and that is what we got.

I love her pictures and I love the boost it gave her ego.

Definitely shop for the photographer. Ask to see their portfolios and pay attention to details like the lighting, the makeup, the backdrops and the focus.

Then go for it.

Most of my clients start off wanting them for their significant other, but when the shoot starts and the talking of what they want to do begins it is a desire to have them done for them. It isn't a bad thing, it is good. The shoots are fun, relaxed and great photos are created.

Do this for you, for you to see your own beauty and smile about it being that way.
 
ready2obey I'm still considering it. Hubby probably won't even get to see them. I'll just show them to people who will appreciate them.

They are about you and you should feel good having them done. Enjoy the time you put into it and enjoy the shoot itself, then enjoy the photos for as long as you can. :)
 
You absolutely should get these photos as these will be great memories of this time in your life. Too bad your husband is not interested. I absolutely would be all for it, but I’m just a guy, not your husband!!Go for it, you’ll never regret it!!!

I got a couple sets done. Husband loved them! The first time I surprised him with a CD full of pictures for Valentines Day. On a side note, it turned him on even more, when he realized that his best friend did the shoot (very professional).
 
boudoir shots

Hi Just some read this thread and would be interested to hear others thoughts (mainly woman form my perspective) as to what a boudoir shot / shoot entails..

What they want / expect, what services they feel would need to be included (make up, hair.. costume??)

..and I ask a sit is something that i may offer as a professional service. (pro videographer, photographer, image maker.. b2b)
 
I've always wanted to pose nude for a photographer. However, I think I'd feel a little weird posing for a male photographer. So, it would have to be a female. But I've never seen male boudoir photos, (and I'm pretty sure I'm not looking in the right place anyway) but I have no idea of what I would do with the photos after? I can't see myself hanging them on the wall in the house. lol. Well maybe the kitchen, you never know. ;)
