I’ve been traveling quite a bit lately. Last week was Orlando, FL all week and tomorrow is Orlando again for another two nights. There’s a lot better places to go. :(
 
I can't believe how lucky I am. What a gal !! I get to go on a holiday.

My wife, sister, brother-in-law and I visited a cannabis dispensary while in Las Vegas for concerts in January. Now, picture this, this is my brother-in-law, a 64 year old retired Bank President, my sister, a 64 year old retired Juvenile Probation Officer, my wife, 65 years old and retired after 43 years as an RN, and me....a 60 year old retired cop. All of us with experience with pot in our youth but clean for decades during our years of business and public service.

So, this quartet traipses in to a 72,000 square foot recreational marijuana dispensary, reminisces with the "bud tenders", tells them about our aches pains and recreational weed needs, and walks out with bags of kick-ass Sativa dominant hybrids, Indica dominant hybrids, edible and concentrates and heads back to our motor home. Over 35 years without toke for me, and the others similarly situated, and with two hits off a bong each (except my wife, pulmonary fibrosis...THC gummies for her), and we were fucked up. Three hours later, we were still barely capable of hailing a cab to our concert.

"But, that's not what I came here to talk to you about. I came to talk to you about the medicinal use of marijuana..." Not really, but to tell you how good it's been, I've taken only two, count 'em that's only two 200mg Advil, and NO narcotic pain relievers in the two months since we stocked up at the HUGE cannabis dispensary in Vegas. That's incredible. (Mentioned in other threads is the fact that my cervical spine is fused at C5-6 and C6-7, that I have a disc bulge "not ready for intervention" at C7-T1.) Certainly, the cannabis products are better for us (or not nearly as bad) than the NSAIDS and infrequent opioids.

Stay with me, we're getting to the holiday.

I mentioned to my wife that I'm almost out of the Grape Valley Kush Indica dominant hybrid, that's great for pain and insomnia,as well as the CBD concentrate (which is great in my water bottle while running).

My wife responds by telling me she's down to only eight THC gummies (of 20) and suggests that I make a quick trip to Las Vegas to stock up. She says she'll stay home with the dogs while I make the over 500 mile round trip AND, since it's so far suggested that I stay for two nights. In addition to sending me to Las Vegas for two nights, she griped that my tentative hotel choice was too cheap and insisted that I book somewhere much nicer. (For clarity, I live in a dry county for cannabis in CA, with the nearest metro areas also dry, and with the closest CA dispensaries over 120 miles away. Heck, I might as well go to Las Vegas.)

Since non-residents of Nevada can only buy one ounce of "flower" per day (with tinctures, edibles, concentrates...factored in by THC content) , Staying for three days and two nights, will allow me to stock up a little more. (Last time, with two of us, we could buy the equivalent of two ounces in one visit.)

So, next week I'm off on a three day and two night "Sin City HOLIDAY" with my kinks and fetishes which my wife willingly indulges and encourages. I'll have one carry-on sized bag of kinky fetish toys and clothing and it is expected that I will indulge in some, probably many, forms of debauchery. (Probably alone butt....?)
