buying a flogger

I don't think that I'd want a flogger for my birthday. I would be happy with the materials to make one though. Yeah, it's a gift to be used on her, I but I really enjoy making them, so I wouldn't mind.

Heck, I had someone buy me a book recently on ropework, and it's along the same lines. I'm happy though, as it is a good book, it's something I wanted, and it helps me improve my own skills. Thus I am a happy Homburg.
Could You and would You if asked nice,
Make us some floggers at a somewhat reasonable price? :D ;)

The kind I make tend to take too long to make, and I'm still not pleased with the handles. I haven't gotten the turkish head knot to come out worth a crap, and until I do, I can't make a good handle, period.

I make a lovely, decadently soft rope flogger out of nylon rope. It's incredible for light play and warm-up, asnd magnificent for the first-time flogger as it is pretty much impossible to hurt a bottom with it unde rnormal use. Those ones work nicely and are simple. No crazy braided handles.

I can probably make you one of those, aye.

The one that made me ask is the one shown on this link of Yours, from the Dominant Hands Thread

But instead of the neon pink, i was thinking black and neon purple.. That would defintely get me "warmed up"..purrrrr :cathappy:

Yup, I know the one you're talking about. I'm currently trying to find a better source for materials. Right now I'm buying them at absurdly high rates, and paying FAR too much. Buying in bulk would make somewhat more sense, but I like to be able to put hands on the hide before I buy it. And buying coloured thong in bulk only makes sense if I really, seriously dig the colour and expect to make multiple pieces.

And, honestly, the workmanship is not commercial-grade. I would not be willing to sell them for a profit until I got the braiding and knot-work to the quality where I'd be willing to put my name on it. Right now, I don't mind doing them for friends because there's a bit of cool-factor in having something hand made by a friend of yours. One person that I'll eventually make one for said that she could imagine telling her bottom "A friend of mine went to a lot of trouble to make this for me. You better make sure your ass is worthy of it". That's cool enough to make up for my amateur braiding skills =P

Have y'all seen the satin ribbon floggers made by our very own serijules? Her floggers look awesome and inspired me to try my hand at it this summer, as a personal token to Raven along with the professional deer hide pair I bought Him.

My work was certainly not quality nor professional, but it was from *Me*, and I think that made it most important.

On another note, I flame sealed the tips of the satin ribbon so it would not fray. Holy Cow!!! Flame sealed tips sting like a bitch AND leave welts. My little bitty satin toy brings more "ouchies" and "owwies" than the heavier leathers do.

Here's a peak or two of my work:

Netzach, Thanks for recommending my web site, leathercellar.com

I wanted to also mention that today I've lowered most of my flogger prices back to the same price I had in 1999.

Over this weekend, as I have time, I work on the collar sections to lower prices as well.

I have some repetitive strain injury from making the floggers. I had 3 surgeries total, needed time to heal and do therapy, I had raised prices on my site during this last year.

I have healed to the point that it's as good as it's going to get, but at least I can work again!
I had to learn how to pace myself so the injury don't reoccur so there is not much I can do about delivery time.

Plus I am working on videos for youtube with step by step instructions on making your own high quality floggers. It's all so time consuming to make everything perfect and easy to understand in the videos.

Well, thanks again for your recommendation! I appreciate it very much :)

Looking forward to the youtube videos!

Have met the maker Rapture through some local MI groups. His floggers, cuffs and more are at reasonable costs with variety of materials. You can find a lot that is interesting there.

Top quality always and if you have questions they are more then willing (and able) to discuss.
