The parents have awoken to the unions shenanigan's. They've finally come to realize that beyond political indoctrination the unions and school boards could give a shit about their kids. The unions are, and always have been, in it for themselves and anyone that believes otherwise is either a fool or a political ideologue.

The children NEVER had anyone to represent them beyond their parent(s) and when the parent(s) showed up as individuals they could be brow beaten, cowed, and intimidated. But when they show up en mass, now we have a brand new ball game. As long as the governors can keep the parents engaged the unions will be reduced to ineffective beggars looking for handouts.
