All I can say (at least from personal experience) is that you must be drunk as hell not to be able to cum. I've usually found that a couple of drinks relaxes me, helps me be nice and loose and uninhibited, and can make sex really fun. On those occassions (usually many many many years ago when in college) that I'd be ready-to-barf drunk, I couldn't do shit. Then again, that's probably God's way of telling you that you're killing your body and your brain.
I'm not here to bust anybody's chops and your life is your life. However, it seems to me that the answer is simple. Go out, nurse a drink or two, have fun, etc and all should be well. If someone needs so much alcohol to have a good time that it affects them negatively in other ways, regardless if it's only on the weekend, then there are perhaps some other issues going on. Don't forget, there's also the drinking and driving issue. If somebody is too drunk to cum or maybe too drunk to get it up, then he should probably not be behind the wheel of a car either.

A Drunk Sex Sucks!
Ok, I will admit to having sex while drunk, but I don't think I can remember those times...That's why I have stopped getting slammed to where I can't remember shit. But I used to go with this man, and it's crazy, I want to call him a boy, but he was 33 years old. But anyways, sooooo many times he would fall asleep on me or with me on top of him and it was because his ass was drunk! I guess he knew he wasn't going to cum, that's why he just fell asleep. I think when you are drunk it is easier to become aroused, or at least you show it more (leave inhibitions to the wayside), but it is harder to "finish."
Now when I used to smoke marijuana, it was entirely different. I could go 2 or 3 times and not even realize how exhausted I was until I got out of my own little mental bubble if that makes any sense.

Sort of similar for me. I can still cum, it just takes me a good while longer after a few drinks.

Just curious why would you loose respect for your partner if they cant cum. Is it that they cant cum because they are drunk of is this just a general blanket kind of statement. I have a really hard time cumming whether drunk or sober and I cant imagine someone losing their respect for me over that, so i would love to hear where your coming from with this.
