Challenge 09.V.2a word is given

I have had a rather harassed week - finally picked up a programmer for my video game, which is great but means I spent almost a full day writing up the design and on top of that I have to package up all the existing art and email it to him, and make new art for the GUI since that to some extent needs to be programmed first. So, I regret that I won't be submitting anything this week or probably next week either.

Dang. Talk about the law of diminishing returns! There's less and less of us participating with each contest! Looks like the busy holiday season is bad for us artistes...

Ostensibly I want there to be a winner for this so they can choose the next subject and I can get in on the reindeer games again!

If I could circumvent the rules, I'd submit! The worst thing about winning these contests is choosing a subject that you yourself would love to submit for, but can't...so you end up choosing something with a little lesser impact that you won't miss and hoping that the winner of that will create a subject close to what grooves you!

Still, if we can all keep it moving along, maybe we'll have some new heads in the mix by next year and it'll really be fun. I just enjoy seeing everyone's stuff together side-by-side, like a group gallery show.

Im in for the long haul, it's been a great tool getting me back into the art scene again... now that I can see my "skillz" returning I'm really stoked, every challenge gets me a little more excited than the one before! I enjoy seeing everyones stuff together as well, It reminds of the old dayz when we would all compare our stuff... a lot of ahh hahh! moments, then just like now, very cool!

The way you have it now is pretty fair, I wouldn't want to change it up for the time being. Hey...that's an idea. It could be something totally left-field by someone who can't draw or paint just to see what we can whip up.

It kinda reminds me of the illustrated adult comics Eros and Penthouse used to put out using the story submissions by readers. Not exactly this idea, but within the same family.

i will submit later in the week . i'm out of town right now, so i will get my piece done as soon as i can! i have an idea and some sketches, but nothing i want to submit quite yet.

actually two challenges going Ann, *Blanket* is currently active and Throbbs is accepting submissions, and the challenge for *Key* ended today, there will be a new *word* posted hopefully tonight!

There's usually 2 challenges active at roughly the same time! So plenty of opportunities to play!
