Oh, and can you make any recommendations for inexpensive chastity devices that are comfortable enough to wear for long periods of time?

Yes I have used them on a submissive for short periods. Usually just for during scene play as a form of orgasm control. My favorite is to use a 'strap-on" This works great, it keeps her covered, which keeps her frustrated. Since I make all my own toys, I have all harness made to fasten at the back where it is impossible to reach. This can be left on for short periods if she has been instructed to read while I am out for errands. It means she is not leaving the house, thats for sure. Yep, as well as several holes so a thin chain can be laced through from top to bottom (or reverse) and padlocked.

Anything "permanent" in this department does not show committment but a lack of common sense actually.

Because there are issues of cleanliness and sores do occur from time to time simply from sweating, rubbing and changes in body weight which can simply be water retention.

A few chastity device examples...I personally use The Walter Goethals Chastity Belt which now has a new name...Carrerra (sp?) and is a custom made device.
