I used to eat fairly regularly at a nearby Italian restaurant. The host would recognize us as we entered and he would get us a table without having to wait. Trouble is, somehow he confused me with someone else and started calling me "Conrad."

The first time it happened I thought I misheard him, so I let it go. This was a mistake, but I got used to the idea of being Conrad at this particular establishment.

Eventually it came to pass that he wasn't there when we arrived and I gave my name (my real name) to the hostess at the door. After a short wait he showed up just as the girl was calling my name. He saw me respond to "Phil" and got a puzzled look on his face, followed by embarrassment. I told him I hadn't the heart to correct him and we had a chuckle.

That restaurant folded years ago. I kinda miss it.

Hey bimmer.
I'm doing alright, in the doctors though, was having digestive ickys this morning.

Ahaha he's not on the list, I found it really funny he made his first ever post here xD.

yeah he makes his first post in on the places it's most unwelcome hahahaha oh well. I wish him a good time on lit just not in this thread hahaha

See, things like that never happen to me.
No one ever makes a mistake about my name AND THEN coincidentally gets embarrassed by me later.

They always just screw up the name and that's that.
Generally the full name first-middle-last.
It's terrible actually.
