My husband did this to me once at a crowded, fancy restaurant when we were still dating.
I flipped out.
He apologized at least a thousand times and I still bring it up sometimes when I'm mad at him just to hear him apologize again for it.
He said he was just trying to be "spontaneous" and "keep up with me" - by then I had told him a fair bit about my past. It actually was sexy AF. But I may never admit it to him lol.
I was so ashamed of my slutty past and so happy and grateful that I was dating a gentleman, not an animal for once, who took me to fancy restaurants and classy, expensive shows. He caught me totally off-guard back then and it reminded me of who I was trying not to be anymore.
But now, if he did something like that today, omg, I'd probably melt right there in my chair and look around all proud and feeling great about myself, him and anyone who happened to see.
