Cookie's Clearing and Cottage

*out of the air a soft chuckle...*

..you say that at only 23..24..25 posts my drear..but welcome...

*you can hear the smile..and me thinking about Yoda..."you will be...you will be"...*

Oooh, have you read the Bhagavad Gita? (Im a nerd about mythology)

Well, see, techinically, that's better. Cuz if you were Australian, your time zone would be all out of wack. Looks playfully at her kitten.\

And sexy accents are always a major win.

Hey. Back off, kitten. She was talking to me. Hisses.

Heehee. She's awesome though, ain't she?

Next thing you know, she'll be Australian or something else with a sexy accent.

Hey, I said I wouldnt.

Lol, no Im from the midwest. o_O My character can have a sexy accent though!

Awwww, I thought for a moment I would finaly have someone in my timezone *sad kitty is sad*

OK, I gotta get to bed. Wayward, you, Magey and I shall talk tomorrow and mak actual plans for plottage.

Pets and snuggles her kitten. Behave, hmm? At least... sort of?

Gives her new bestfriend a big hug and a small earlobe nibble. I await further discussion.

Licks her Magey and snuggles him, too. Go to sleep. Get rid of that headache.

Goes to Ez and gives him a hug, too, and then a soft spank, giggling. Good night, hun.

Looks around. Did I get everone?

You mean her timezone would be perfect, and one day all would conform to its briliance or be swept away in the furious tide of war?

Awww, sorry Kod. :(

*glomps the cookie.*

anyways, this is what I mean by dryad.

Except maybe without the bark and twigs. :p But she could enter trees and speak with them.

See, now if I wanted to do a thread that was like Crest of the Stars but wouldn't be something where someone like me would respond "That's because it's exactly like Crest of the Stars with absolutely zero changes" I would work on altering the story to make it my own. It might take a little time, but it would be doable.

Example: Perhaps instead of being drafted into war, the Space Elves have decided to become the protectors of the planet earth with it's primitive earthlings who can barely manage to come up with a ship mounted laser let alone a laser pistol. So anyway, fancying himself a space adventurer he sneaks aboard one of the space elf battleships, after all, this seems like a good way to start his journey as a space adventurer. He of course is found out and thrown into the brig, to be dealt with when they reach their space dock or whatever, however, when they drop out of their faster than light travel, it is only to discover that the space port they were headed to has just been destroyed, and they are hurled into battle.

Now, because I know how much Dragon loves to play these innovator (Gundam Seed reference) style characters who are superhuman but don't actually know they are super human to give it a whole "Wow, I'm awesome...but why am I awesome? Oh no, tragic backstory that is shrouded in mystery!" characters, for whatever reason he finds himself in the gunner position after the ships gunner gets taken out by something that only kills the gunner and doesn't vent all of the atmosphere from that compartment, and he totally kicks ass. They then have to go on an adventure to find out what happened with this attack on the ship, and because of his commendable duties as a gunner/mech pilot/whatever, he is kept on crew, or rather they decide that since they can't drop him off at space-dock they decide they can't push him into an airlock and shoot him into space either.

While that story line is filled with cliche and all of the elements can be found somewhere else, it gives more direction and allows for something bigger than "The alien elves have recruited me to be part of their crew because that's what they did in this anime I was watching or manga I was reading." It also gives the story a main conflict, as well as opening the doors for all kinds of smaller conflicts. Perhaps most of the space elf crew doesn't run up to accept our hero with open arms, feeling that he shouldn't have been there in the first place, and that humans in general are lesser beings. There is also the question of where they are going to get fuel if the space dock got totaled.

That is what all of your ideas end up lacking when you pitch them dragon. I mean you are like "Lets do a thread where there are sexy alien space cats who capture the poor humans." but really beyond being captured and then the "What do they do with them now" aspect, there is never any real idea about what the main conflict will be.

I mean, sure getting caught by an alien space cat is scary, for the first 4 pages, but then it stops being scary and the thread lacks direction and we just write sex scenes over and over again.

Sexy woodland creatures are sexy...

Would this be one of those dryads that are linked to a single tree as its a part of them? Cause if she is, dont turn that tree in to a log cabin, thats just asking for a crazy dryad.

Oh, and now I'm off, bye all.

*licks cookie suggestively.*

Dont worry bluemage, we shall engineer a deep, multidimensional plot, with characters equally diverse. Im a lit major. Its what I do.

*blushing embarrassed only parts,I ran across "Kali" doing a image search for powerful female images and did some online research and the more I found out about her the more I liked her..and I just have a thing for powerful aggressive and violent women, anyway..giggles*

you will have to completely enlighten me some time..

That gives us a potential plot point. Perhaps the forest is threatened with destruction?

All of my ideas are about thinking past that first sex scene. Sure the set-up that gets us there is important, and man is that first scene ever fun, but if the whole game is getting to that point and then there is nothing to keep the game going after that...well...it kind of falls apart, which is why most of my games are plot driven. Also, I tend to be slow in writing my sex scenes because I run out of descriptive words rather fast.

The Bhagavad Gita is about a family at war with one another. Arjuna (Representing the student) Learns from Krishna (Christ-figure, fellow blue-skinned sage.)

Basically, Arjuna refuses to fight members of his own family. Krishna spends the book professing hindu philosophy to him.

Im not sure if I believe in god, but I took some really beautiful things away from reading it. I recommend it. :)

Scary monsters have started to inhabit the forest maybe and it is starting to alter the balance of nature? Maybe the humans have been cutting down trees and spreading their settlements and the scary monsters have popped up as the forest attempts to defend itself, but everything goes a little haywire and so some of the monsters turn against the forest and each other or something? Maybe some form of magician is involved?

Monsters can be sexy too.

Absolutely. Perhaps one of our characters is on an opposing side, and has an inner conflict after an encounter with the other two in some scene or other. They go on meeting in secret, with the other two having no clue as to their affiliation. Then that person could work to sabotage them. After that, they could be on the run together?

That is good. Perhaps my character leaves the forest and meets up with a third party. (You, or you and cookie) to beg for your aid.

Sounds interesting.

Anyway, this headache that I've had has gone down quite a bit (I think it may have something to do with the volume that I was playing Team Fortress 2 at earlier with my headphones and when I turned it down to play this evening it wasn't so bad maybe) but it is still about time that I turn in (to a pumpkin).

So anyway. Goodnight, new friend. I may or may not be on in about 11 hours to talk about stuff.

what I belive is complicated and not important here..but the thing that really hooked me for Kali was a tale of the war with the Demons..

The demons where trying to unbalance the universe with masculine energy and the gods and goddesses went to war with them to stop it. during the battle Kali became so consumed with blood lust that she began to kill friend and foe alike, now she is unbeatable in battle so Shiva, threw himself under her feet and surprised her so much she regained sanity and stopped killing..

I mean if that is not a subs dream what is?

My beliefs....hmm

Angels..I believe they exist as a species, but have nothing at all to do with any gods.

Demons: Same
Devils: Same

Ghosts: Probably. I mean, Einstein's Theory of Special Relativity indicates that a huge amount of energy must be released when people die, so that energy has to go somewhere.

God(s): As a singular entity, not possible. As multiple entities, possible but not probable. (I identify with the concept of multiple pantheons, but they're more likely aliens, not all powerful metaphysical beings.)

Aliens: Uh...duh. In a universe as drastically unbalanced as ours? Things don't happen once and only once. (and look at the sheer number of worlds within a hundred lightyears that could potentially support life)
