Hi everyone

As I have said many times before I want to second Velvet's statement of thanks for all the sincere and generous comments that have helped me build up her self confidence. When we first met she would have never dreamed of posting pic's here, would have been scared of the suggestion. I convinced her eventually to try it, that people would want to see her pic's, and you have all proved me right and in doing so lifted the burden of embarrassment and nervousness from her shoulders. Thats a gift I will find hard to repay, but for what its worth thank you one and all.

Now onto an announcement. I visited my beautiful sub in Feburary for three weeks, had a great time and had lots of fun all alone in her apartment During that time I proposed to her, on one knee of course, and she tearfully accepted ... still not entirely sure the tears weren't from the spanking earlier or maybe I'd kneeled on her foot. Anyway we are now officially engaged to be married and are planning, with fair winds and calm seas, to get hitched early next year. Obviously this date is not set in stone as we are currently battling the evil forces of the UK Embassy who thwart our every attempt to get Velvet a VISA. Seems they have a problem of me attaching a photo to the application form of a woman bound hand and foot and wearing a blindfold and gag ... go figure!

So for now I'll sign off but we promise to keep you all updated as current events change.

The place we would like to have the wedding at costs, IMO, WAY too much per person. Of course, this is coming from the person who'd be just as happy having the ceremony out in a pretty forest glen. Yes, you do. More than most people. I apologize for not having posted in so many months. Needed a break from some things, I guess. Wedding plans are progressing. I'll be making & decorating the wedding cakes. Can't find anyone to do it the way I want it. It'll be my first time ever playing w/royal frosting. Hope it ends up looking ok. I lost the argument on making my wedding dress. He thinks it'll cause me & my maid of honor (who'd be helping me sew it) too much stress. So that's being purchased. At least it looks amazing. We'll have a DJ and a chocolate fountain during the reception. The wedding "breakfast" will be a medieval menu. Working out if it'll cost less for me to do the invites (etc.) instead of having them done. I may just give up that fight and let him bloody well pay for them. I'm in such an awful mood right now. No wonder people elope.

We compromised on the invites. Everyone who's actually coming to the wedding, and my family, gets the horribly expensive invites. Everyone else is going to be sent a just as lovely made-by-me invite. This is largely due to the fact that I didn't get off my butt about the invites fast enough to just do them all myself. Oh well. They'll all be really nice.

ShyGuy, are you honestly wanting an invite? Or were you just flirting? Because I'll send you one if you were honestly wanting invited. I'm sure Gabe would enjoy you being there too. But I was wondering if you'd want to actually visit at another time as you'd hardly get to see us due to the honeymoon. What works for you? I do have a short list of Lit people I'm sending invites to.

I haven't posted in a long time because of, well, I already stated that. But part of it was just not getting around to getting in here either. And I'm currently having to sneak this post in as I'm at the parents house after having spent my six months "vacation" in England. And am currently waiting to hear back from the Embassy on the visa! Yes, it's all turned in, done & we're just hoping to God that it gets approved quickly and the first time. You would NOT believe how horribly expensive those things are.

I've had a couple requests for new photos. Mostly by friends' IMs. I swear I'll post some as soon as I have some new (decent) shots of myself. I've, unfortunately gained a little bit of weight and I'm not happy w/myself. So that's been part of the delay too. I badly need to get back into shape. <sighs>

Not taken yet. I only just got back in England two days ago! And the wedding stuff is taking up a LOT of our time. I'll ask him when he thinks we might be able to schedule in some new photos. I don't have my photo program over here though, so I can't make them look as pretty. So I can't promise they'll be any good.
