Death in story

Death is fine. Necrophilia is not.

There are plenty of murder mysteries, stories involving soldiers and armies, etc., on this site. That's all fine. I think the line is once you're dead, you don't get to have sex any more, nor can anyone have it with you.

Barring vampires, of couse.
Freakin vampires, they all suck!

I'd also like to discuss why a fantasy setting is making such big differences: I mean, in the end it's all fiction, isn't it?

Even a sexual murder from the killer's PoV is just as imagined as a vampire fucking and sucking his victim to death: The author doesn't portray his for real commited crime, for a) he's not the murderer or vampire. Thus where's the difference coming from? The difference that brings one fantasy into 'dangerous territory' and the other into calm waters?

It may not make much sense, but it's a similar line the website draws on many issues. You can have age role-play in a story, but if you cut that scene out and can read it as underage sex without any other context, the story will get rejected. Though I haven't seen any examples, I trust that bestiality would be the same.

A death scene taking place in a fantasy story is usually going to have fantasy elements to it. There's going to be magic, walking dead, or something outside the realm of possibility in the real world. Just as keeping it known that the participants are of age in the age-play, or that the creature is actually a sentient shape-shifter and not a dumb animal, the inclusion of fantasy elements disconnects it from the prohibited zone.

I would imagine that even a fantasy setting wouldn't save a scene of sexual murder-for-joy that you could read out of context of the story and take as something that could actually happen in the real world.

It can go the other way, though. I just made some suggestions to an author who had two physical and mental abuse rejections on the same story. The story was set in a fantasy universe, and fantasy elements were obvious throughout. None of the individual scenes were beyond anything I've had accepted without so much as the blink of an eye.

The problem was that such scenes were relentless. There wasn't enough storyline to balance it out. The story was a first chapter of a series, but without later chapters of story to look at, all Laurel saw was a character getting tormented throughout the first chapter. I suggested a few places to flesh out background without giving away too much, get in the tormented character's head, etc., and the story went live a few days ago.

Discuss it with your lawyer. Maybe he can tell you the difference in connection with the risk of having an anvil drop on your head. It doesn't have to make sense by logic.

It may all be fiction, but I think what this mostly comes down to is that this site belongs to Laurel and Manu, and they make the rules. You could lobby them for a change, I guess, but -- they make the rules.

There's an easy rule of thumb.

Can a reader with an unbalanced mind read the story and then go out and re-enact it?

Personally, I don't think stories/films/games make people go out and do horrible deeds, but I don't blame the site owners for wanting to cover their ass against a hostile media that does like to push this argument.

In that context there's a massive difference between a story written about a madman getting his jollies strangling and raping a girl, and a vampire sucking and fucking their victim to a lifeless husk.

I posted a story fairly recently where the main character (in a way, the only character) dies. There was no objection from Literotica but I suspect a lot of readers didn't really like having death in a story.

The story's called 'Angels' - here:

.

I like that this is a site that is more accepting of sex than of violence. Kinda the opposite of most other media.

I think death always affects the storyline in some way. I almost always include it in all my stories, wether it's the big baddie that dies or even one of my good guys.

And I agree with manyeyedhydra as well. It's just like that saying, "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink." Many things can influence people, but ultimately it's their choice to make that decision.

In my latest chapter of Blood of the Clans, ch 18, I not only have a death happen, it happened back in ch 2 and now just discovered. It's a graphic telling of respect paid to a rotting corpse. From the scores, it's being well received by readers. I think by the end of the first book, I'll have killed over a thousand men. Some naturally, some in very bloody battle. Death is a part of life, like sex, so it shouldn't be denied in a story.

I wrote a story for this site where the love object, a very elderly lady, dies in her sleep at the endo f the story. it was widely misinterpreted and I some really nasty feedback. This might be a worth remembering.

Sorry to hear that happened to you Vrosej. In one of my stories when I had a character died, a few people who loved the story really let me have it asking how could I kill that char off, I just said sorry but I wanted to shock people and wouldn't change it. I think a good story needs a little shocking scenes when it's appropriate.

i was clear in the story but some of the punter thought the male character had fucked her to death. He did not. Having a partner die is an unfortunate down side of dating the elderly.

Going to agree here because I was beat to this by the sick one up there. No offense to the people that write this stuff but I am fucking sick to death of Vampires. Zombies at least have the decency to cycle in and out of popularity (usually whenever there is a new Romero movie or remake on the horizon) Vampires seem to have latched on to and been sucking dry the horror and now romance genre's for years now at least since Anne Rice's pile of pussy blood suckers showed up. To be honest in my opinion the reason they are huge on here is because they are "not real" they can commit some acts that aren't ordinarily allowed like some of the death topics. Sr is kind of writing snuff but since it's supernatural it gets by (goes with the territory kind of) just as in case no one is thought it through the only reasons werewolves are the hot commodity is for all the bestiality crowd. They can read all about fucking a four legged furry thing but it's okay. not real. And hey When Pennlady and the other poster were talking necrophilia even if it was banned well just make it zombie sex they are already dead right?

I think this gets to me as I am a bit of a purist I am a huge horror fan and obviously a great fan of erotica but I don't mix my vices so to speak.
