I’m so sorry that you lost your friend. Inevitably they become an integral part of the family nucleus. Mine were always my kids…some better behaved than others. There might have been some spoiling going on.

And, a Mali pup…I’m so jealous. Male…female…name…and a pic when you can. Would love to see the new addition.

I could speak from experience and tell you they are the most wonderful dogs on earth but I’m fairly certain every dog lover feels exactly the same way about their ‘best friend’. Good luck with the pup…
