About 15 years back in NY, I did several years of nude photography shoots as a way to help models build their portfolio and to give me some content of nudes in nature as subject matter for my return to oil painting. One model, Katy, with whom I did 3 shoots, was from England and went on to make a good living for several years doing nude shoots across Europe for several websites, such as FemJoy (main site), Domai, MetArt, etc. And I did another shoot with a Playboy model. But from this work, one woman reached out to me to do a shoot. Her name was Sativa Verte and after starting as a nude model went on to make several porn videos, many centering on her famous full bush. But she also did several fetish videos, too. She was a real sweetheart and joy to work with...one of the best. We ended up doing two shoots and were planning on a third, a calendar to sell to her fan base, when she went into a deep funk over the death of her boyfriend/partner. I don't think that she did much modeling or porn work after that.

Don't know any porn performers, but I have two tax and accounting clients who have OF accounts. One of them grossed $2.2 million last year, probably more than most porn performers ever made. Working with her attorney and financial advisor, we have set her up as a corporation (Sub S) and put her on payroll, with 401(k) and all benefits. With what we are putting away for her, she could probably retire in five years, set for life.

The attorney and I, along with the client, have discussed bringing other perfomers under the corporate umbrella, and also helping them succeed (of course with a piece of their profits).

Only a 401k? Define pension plan with profit sharing...?

We considered it, but with interest rates and uncertainty (Porn performers do not have an infinite lifespan), we decided we didn't need a potential unfunded pension liability. Added to the fact that we were considering bring others in under the corporate umbrella. 401-K's are easy to administer also
