I could never loan a sub out, I (personally) just can't fathom the idea of someone else handling my treasure.

There was a time in recent history when I considered loaning my submissive to a trusted Dominant friend for training purposes for both of us. 
While loaning isn't a consideration at this point, there may come a time when I choose to do so with me in the room or not. Like all things of relationship nature, communication and needs need to be discussed.
When the chips are down, the choice is mine, though.
I just might enjoy watching someone else use my guy.

To the specific questions:
I'm not worried about his safety more than I am about mine playing with someone new, because I'm assuming that my skills in negotiating and his skills in negotiating his own safety haven't flown away into the ether. And one if not both of us are going to be doing that negotiating and limits have been discussed enough beforehand. (Let's say safe sex, if I have the hunch that this person might not respect that, OR if he does, we'd talk about it and the scene would be no go ..this is a real life example of lending that didn't move forward.)
If it's in my sight or not, limits will be made clear, either by him or by me in his absence. I will also instruct the borrower that they not push certain things, and that they be sensitive to certain issues, also that they respect the safewords of the lent out. If I didn't think they could manage this, I wouldn't entertain the idea.
How can I trust anyone else with my sub? How can anyone trust anyone? You get to know someone, you go with instincts, if I could never trust anyone with my most precious things I'd never have gotten anywhere in the scene, as a bottom or as a Top, I think you are equally vulnerable about your feelings and person.

i wouldnt want to be shared, and he has no desire to share me. i see nothing wrong with it or anything, but our bond is just so deep that i cant bear the idea of him touching someone else, and he feels the same. i am his, ALL his. and even tho im his sub, he is MINE. its just me and him...and we like it that way

Am just about to given over to one of my masters friends for a few days, he is going away for a few days and has promised me to a mutual friend of ours.
am looking forward to it but am a little nervous at the same time

This is something i feel should be discussed thoroughly between D/s. Granted, it is His/Her final discission, but if the slave/sub is totally against it, then i feel their wishes should be considered as this lifestyle is all about being SSC.
i have been loaned out once. it was only allowed after Master got to know the other Dom very well. i totally enjoyed it, and am looking forward to the possibility of being loaned to a Mistress in the future.

well it actually happenned
and it was utterly amazing, to know i was doing something, that at first a found really difficult, but to settle and actually enjoy it was way more than i expected. Am in the middle of writing a story all about the events that occured as my new sir has expressed an intrest.
will hopefully post that in the story section soon.

Glad to hear it went so well....the story should be interesting to read. I think many of us fantasise about a variety of situations and often wonder what the reality is going to be like if it ever crosses into that realm. Thanks for coming back and letting us know how it was for you.
