does it Piss you off?

And, possibly, stop badmouthing what went ahead to prepare and soften up the market for what we write.

You left the comma out, my friend. It goes after the word "abrasive".

You'll have to talk to Lovecraft68 about that, won't you? Or don't you know how the quote system works here? Or that quotes are supposed to be faithful to the original, something real editors would know.

I know, I know, to the topic, I piss you off. Because you could no longer parade as an authority several years ago. You really are a snitty old maid. Your profile photo pretty much says it all. And only brave enough to put your own work out there four times--and then you turned the voting off on three of them. So precious. :D

My pet hate is more than one superfluous preposition, as in "I met up with my friends." What is the additional information provided by that sentence that is not provided by "I met my friends."?
If the phrase is dialogue, it shows the verbal quirks of the speaker.
If the phrase is exposition, it shows the sloppiness of the author.
However, a different verb changes things. Replace 'met' with 'fucked'.

Ah, he's just backbiting--and, as usual, screwing it up. :D

(The fun thing is that he's claimed for years that he has me on ignore. Something else he screws up when he posts a response to something I've posted.)
