I am probably missing out on some stuff because I didn't read the previous story involving Carl and Mindy.

Thanks for the clarification. I doubt you would gain anything by reading the first story. I didn't intend this to be chapter 2 of that story, so all the relevant events from the first story are described briefly in this one.

I must have done something wrong in describing Carl's motivation in the last scene. He was afraid of losing Evy and his reaction was to make love to her.

I have massively edited it in response to very helpful feedback, so if you seriously want to read it, drop me a PM and I will send you the document with the first couple of chapters. I need people to beta-read the new version and tell me if I can finally get it off the drawing board.

Older men, generally 40+, have left the world of instant gratification. We want something with more bite to it. Erotica with feeling. The thought of spending non-sex time with a 20-year-old bombshell is similar to torture. Like our investments, we think long term, in and out of bed.

I find men of 50+ are more patient daters. 40+ are still usually fretting about getting old. When you hit 50, you realise you are old, so you stop caring and start enjoying what comes <snerk> as a nice surprise that life still gives to you.

Naah. All adventure-thriller-noire writers try to include romance but it never works. The writers wanna hook female readers but romance and hunters is too incongruent to put in the same pen.

If you actually want to read the story then you'll need to hurry. It's slated for removal from Romance and once it's gone it won't reappear for a while.
