Those of us who posted in response to you were simply confused by your post and expressed that. I don't see any attacks against you here. Maybe you're misinterpreting something?

It might have to do with the fact that we had already figured out (from a somewhat ambiguous post) that the OP was talking about the site editors (Laurel) and not the volunteer editors. In that context, your post doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

Again, not attacking, just explaining.

I've been guilty of trying to make a point and falling flat many times. When I go back and read my own words as others saw them, I then understand the confusion. What's in my head doesn't always flow through to the keys and the screen.

It isn't worth getting upset over, no one attacked you.

Aw, sorry AS. Definitely didn't mean to offend you - as an editor you do great things for many around here and it's much appreciated. Just trying to express that I didn't understand your post any more than I understood the original poster's. But I think I get it now...

Update of omission problem...

First, to all of you that have tried to help and point me in the right direction, thank you, thank you, and did I say, THANK YOU?

I believe that the problem was a glitch related to a particular charactar I use as a segment separator, the ever ubiquitous 'squiggly' (~). Never say never, but, I believe my corrective measures should take care of the problem. If it happens again, Laurel will be the first to know, lol.

My original supposition that an editor was involved was a grievous error on my part; don't worry, I've already spanked myself with a wet noodle. No offense was meant to all of the volunteer editors, and I hope none was taken. Your work is too important on Lit, and I meant no dispargement of the work that you do.

Okay, getting serious. There was this person "Andy" (I think) who was supposedly an editor and writers were writing in expressing their dismay. I linked that to a report I heard on the evening news about medical "stealing". Mind you this was a few days ago.

I'm not an official volunteer editor, but I have edited a few Lit authors' stories and submit quite a few of my own under various alts.

I've just chipped in where I thought I could help. Obviously if that's stepping on anyone's toes, please say.
