Before I say anything else I do love the alliteration of 'snap synapses' it's so descriptive. I'm not really a fan of alliteration but this is just right

Thanks Annie. I think the "snap synapses" is effective because the words have so much more going for them as a pair. Beyond alliteration, there's assonance and sibilance forcing us to wrap our tongues around, literally snapping our lips together to make the P sound clearly.
