I grew up in LA, and my sister taught me about "Jilling" .... not masturbation, I learned that on my own. She'd send me letters when she went away to college, and ask me "if I had seen Jill", or "was Jill around?" This would have been 75 to 78. Of course we assumed our parents didn't understand. Now I sometimes wonder and have to believe my mom knew what was up. Well this would have been 1975-78.

I didn't learn the term until I started viewing Lit, but I laughed and began using the term. It made perfect sense when I heard it...I wrote a story about it called Jilling for a Job...and I'm in the southern US, but originally from MI...Maybe that's why no one is reading that story, they don't know what it means???

Im from CA and will admit im somewhat naive to many of the terms but had not hear of "jilling" until recently with a chat partner from NC... he was going to go play with "jill". I dont think it is a widly used term here at all.
