Ever want to take a permanent feminization step?

I've grown my hair and progressively changed to an explicitly feminine style. The hairdresser knows me by my feminine name.
I carry a shoulder bag even when presenting as male.
I got one ear pierced and then the other.
I often wear nail polish but I don't grow my nails long because if I do I invariably break them.
For dancing, I apply big temporary thigh tattoos from ebay.
My eyebrows get waxed until now they are explicitly arched.

I'm sometimes addressed in a feminine way when I'm presenting as male. Someone walking behind me even called out to me because he thought I was accidentally entering the male bathroom.

I wouldn't get any permanent tattoo that said anything like you mentioned. There are still religious nuts working for medical services and you never know when something might happen to you and you place yourself in their hands.

The only downside - if it's that - is that I have little in common with football-loving, backslapping male colleagues. The same is clearly true for working women and being like this helps us understand how unconscious sexism works.

Thank you. It is great seeing how other people deal with releasing their feminine side. Loving all the suggestions and tips

Things I did for a while and especially when I first started transitioning:

Get your ears pierced, and perhaps double pierced. Do not wear male earrings, adventure away from small studs.

Get you bellybutton pierced

Get regular mani/pedis WITH COLOR, not clear

Get your hair styled/colored in a more feminine or androgynous style

Get your brows waxed and shaped...learn how to pluck them to keep them properly arched and thinned

Wear panties, wear a bra (not with forms)

Wear feminine jewelry, and lots of it, especially bracelets/bangles and pendants (highly visible) even an anklet.

If you wear glasses, get a more feminine style

Wear subtle (or not so subtle) makeup, especially lipstick and eyeshadow. Absolutely use eyeliner, mascara, and lip gloss

KEEP your legs and arms hairless. Especially your fingers. Shave your underarms, and anywhere else that hair grows

Speaking of shaving, keep your pubes trimmed, and for a treat get a wax...but get a shape...a heart, a landing strip, something obviously feminine.

Wear more androgynous/feminine style of clothing - perhaps just one thing at a time. A pair of female jeans, a sweater, a blouse or shirt. There are many masculine female clothing styles, to the trained eye are obviously female. Dress more fashionable. Accessorize!!!!

Carry a pocket book or purse or a woman's bag,

All of these changes made me feel infinitely better about myself, and I owned wearing them. People around me just accepted them. Sure there were a couple of stares and head turns, but they were far outweighed by the compliments, which always were highly appreciated. Still are.

Be you! Everyone else is taken.

Chrissi

Great advice Chrissi, I've had a few stares while out dressed but ignore them or blow them a kiss. Be confident and beautiful and be who you feel you are

I have also thought about having something tattooed just above my little dicklette. So far I have thought of "Sissy", "Princess" or "Tinkerbell".

Thank you, comegently, chrissi. Inspiring... actually pondering what would happen if I did some of that... how would I feel? Always felt I was a guy but a total sissy but taking more steps is... tempting.

gurly stuff

I have some tramp stamp tats, jigsaw heart with roses on either side, and palm sized roses on the buttcheeks.Bikini tanline for decades, but just the bottom,no top tan-line.Multiple ear piercings, lotsa thought about the nose, nipples, and bellybutton.Long hair worn in a bun daily.Tats are nutzoid,I started with one, have a dozen now.Wear a lot of capris and tights, women's tanktops.Bras make me horny as fuck, though.Told the wife I'd be pregnant if I wore a bra every day for a week.I know,I know, but it would be great fun,no?175 on the COGIATI test, starting to wonder about horomones.Somedays I think trading dick size for a small waist, big butt and little titties would be a sweet deal.

I've thought about getting a couple of tats and piercings that were a bit concealed under my clothes. Would love more but the professional world unfortunately frowns upon those. I do enjoy shaving into a nice landing strip and think a thorned rose tattoo above that would be fun to have

And there is another permanent step you could add to this; Have the hair you now shave permanently removed...no going back. Now, even if you were tempted to let the hair regrow and cover the rose...Nope. But I don't really see you ever going back and wanting to hide this part of yourself anyway...but wouldn't it feel "risky" to cut off that option...forever? :rose:

Wonderful advice here :)
I'm not a tattoo girl, so you can experience that on your own, but all the rest absolutely.
I have very few male friends that I socialize with...mostly only female. A lot of my former gay friends drifted away as I transitioned.
My women friends always treated me as one of their own anyway, so not many changes there, except they now actively share sales and GNO's with me included :)

Hmmmm....

Well, long hair is a given. I've not had a male typical haircut in a decade.

I think shaving came next. I'll do facial hair when I feel like it, but the rest is shaved religiously. I will do permanent removal for most at some point.

Brows. Started shaping them about five years ago, and currently keep them as feminine as their location allows.

Nails...toes stay polished 95% of the time, and usually rock a pink mani during breast cancer month. Four years running, I also get hot pink extensions in my hair; proceeds to cancer research. BTW, a salon pedi is not to be missed. Worth every penny, especially if you're a runner, etc.

Ears, I finally got pierced about 2 years ago. usually wear tiny (1/2") gold hoops, occasionally studs with different colors of stones.

I got the second set of holes done 2 months back, so now I can mix studs with other choices when feeling femme.

It's not an explicitly female thing (none of it should be), but I recently had both nipples pierced, and currently wear stainless, captive bead rings in them.

The navel piercing is under consideration!

I had an artist draw a custom genderfluid tattoo...basically an elongated infinity symbol with male and female gender symbols at opposite ends. It's about 7-8" long, paralelling my panty line (just below it) on the upper thigh. Colors are the five colors of the GF flag.

Of course, clothing. Underwear, etc on the daily (unless feeling strictly male). Sometimes a bra or sports bra (those were great with new nip rings!). Depending on where I'm going; often a pair of my wife's jeans, usually a cami or tank in lieu of a boring undershirt.

Femme typical grooming products are a nice touch. Deodorants, soaps, lotions, and I wear Ralph Lauren perfume fairly often. Subtle to not so subtle makeup, depending on my mood and daily duties. almost ALWAYS waterproof mascara.

So...Permanent? Really only the tattoo; which isn't really a feminization step, but a banner stating I'm not quite either, but both.:cattail::kiss:

Too slow

Me, that is. I'm just now planning on getting my ears pierced (it's too hard to find old-fashioned clip-on earrings). I don't want to be a girl. I like being a guy dressed like one and doing very nasty things to men (plus, with my mug, I'm never going to fool anybody - big face).
