Everything Paris Olympics

Hahaha. I should have also named this thread the "Everything Paris Olympics and taunt thread"

Sorry @StillRain, USA took the bronze from Australia in women's rugby. Literally, took it right from their hands as time expired.

It was kind of heartbreaking to watch the Aussies though.

I was wondering what was going on. Saw a headline that said Australia won, and another that said the U.S. won.

Australia missed the extra with 33 seconds left, up by 5. They had USA pinned back and then got a free runner, the clock expiring about 2/3 of the way down. Kicked the extra and won by 1.

I really only watch gymnastics. USA and a gold! I'd only Simone would stop hopping She'd hey even better scores. But she's damn good.

What songs do we reckon the swimmers listen to as they walk out to the pool?
Or do you think it's their coaches voices giving them pep talks.
Maybe it's just white noise to drown everything else out..

I'm watching fencing and archery this morning. A couple thoughts. Fencing would be much improved if it was multi-dimensional. None of this straight line back-and-forth bullshit. I want Inigo and the Man in Black on the Cliffs of Despair. And as for archery, I don't know what these arrow-shooting contraptions are, but it'd be way more interesting with a simple longbow. Let's keep it medieval. Also, if one of the fencers wanted to bring a claymore, I wouldn't mind.

Compound bows do seem more complicated than useful sometimes. I'm like you in the fencing, let them move more left and right some, but not where they can "run away" per say.

I use to have a compound bow and all I added was the side sights. Longbow in Olympics would be cool I think.

Looks like Team USA is catching up by the global medal standards.

Great job today, Simone, Suni and Kate. (and that rowing team šŸ¤ )

One annoying thing I discovered today...Peacock doesn't have all the replays. Wanted to watch the Australia water polo and nope, no reply for it.

Peacock keeps showing commercials in middle of events. Missed Multiple dressage riders tonight. Missed some dives the other night. Least they give a choice to pick events to catch up on.
